FOOD AND SHELTER PROGRAMS
The Yawkey Foundation has a long-standing tradition of supporting organizations that provide food, shelter, and other basic needs to the homeless, with a particular emphasis on assistance to children and families.
SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAMS
The Yawkey Foundation supports organizations and programs that provide services, such as education, recreation, and social skill development, to children with special needs who would otherwise not have access to such programs.
DISADVANTAGED YOUTH PROGRAMS
The Yawkey Foundation supports organizations that offer meaningful, constructive activities during out-of-school time to middle and high-school age youth where they have the opportunity to interact with positive adult role models and mentors. This program particularly serves disadvantaged youth who live in areas impacted by violence and seeks to support organizations that have an established track record of youth service and a demonstrated ability to increase academic achievement, self-esteem, and leadership skills.
