Orphaned at a young age, Tom Yawkey never forgot the importance of caring for others, particularly children and struggling families. Throughout their lifetimes, the Yawkeys quietly supported programs and organizations that provided food, shelter, and other basic needs to those individuals most in need. They also cared deeply about the young people in the community and supported a number of organizations dedicated to helping inspire children.
